14) Single/Married Person Complex

  • The Single/Married Person Complex Trust CRT is a Sole-Grantor Charitable Remainder Trust (CRT) that can be used by either a single or married person. It offers all of the same features and benefits available with the Single Person Basic CRT (#13).

  • This trust also provides a lifetime payout of trust income to the grantor (or other person) and/or a term-of-years payout (not to exceed 20 years) to other income beneficiaries. After the grantor’s decease, or at the end of the term of years payout (whichever is applicable), the remainder principal would be distributed, outright, to the charity(s) designated in the trust.
